Black Rosecomb Bantams

This was the first variety of Rosecombs I started with. Rosecombs must be bred with lots of specific things to look for. They have to have large round white lobes, a short back, a large tail, etc. A perfect bird has all these things in balance. This is the easiest color to breed for out of all the colors I have, but they also face some really tough competition! I have been raising them since 1992.

On March 10, 2002, Ski won Best in Show at the Monterey Bay Bantam Club. That was the first time I've ever won Best in Show at an open show. It was a real honor, and I'm proud of my little Ski.

But as they say, the good die young, and Ski was no exception. I am grateful she lived the life she did, and owning such a sweet little champion was a real gift.
